Re: Space. The Funnest Frontier?
This episode leaned a bit more in the "dialogue written for kids" direction than I prefer, but they are definitely trying hard to make an exciting, story-driven show regardless.

Another banger for Prodigy. A good body-swap episode was the least I expected but was not disappointed. Seeing Janeway spitting coffee out was my highlight.

Re: Space. The Funnest Frontier?
I'm feeling I'm on repeat but the newest episode, part 1 of the finale, has been good as well. Even the awkward kiss and the resolve was actually decent. Awkward, understandable, gets to the point, and doesn't linger over the episode like a rancid fart in a windowless room like it is often done in other shows.
The ultimate plan feels a little bit odd as the virus doesn't infect automatically every system connected to Starfleet network but is reliant on a constant stream of ships to come for support. I mean, even after the first barrage of ships, Starfleet is probably smart enough not to send all of their ships there. Also if every ship got destroyed they can be rebuilt. It takes time and effort but nothing Federation-destroying.
Eh... Kids show. It's fine. I saw dumber plot holes in Star Trek and this one is more plausible.
I'm still not over the fact that last episode mentioned Janeway's transformation to an amphibious lifeform in Threshold.

They should've started blasting the moment they got back to the bridge.
Aside from that, pretty high-octane for a kids' show. I wonder what's going on in Dal's head now.
By the way, apparently the second half went online in Brazil early, so beware spoilers.

Luckily I'm not into the Star Trek fandom that I wander the internet where it could be spoiled to me.
Also spoilers from early releases in other countries isn't new for us. MLP:FiM had plenty of early releases.
I just wait until my usual sources upload it.

Re: Space. The Funnest Frontier?
Just finished the last episode.
It's a pity that it wasn't released right after part 1 as this one is more epilogue than a standalone episode.
But it was a good epilogue and good sendoff if there would be never a second season.
Everyone got what they wanted, with a hint of what could happen next.
I mean except for Hologram Janeway and the Diviner.
One of the best scenes was Hologram Janeway's recording. It was small but it encapsulated what the series was all about.
For a children's show it was a great pleasure to watch and see Dal transform into a non-stupid character. The first hand full of episodes were mostly driven by Dal's stubbornness and it got somewhat in the way but it was never awful and luckily Dal got somewhat better.
All characters were compelling in their own way. Murf not so much as he was and is kinda a pet but if there will be a next season I hope he'll gain the ability to talk properly. I admire that most characters in the series had a clear motivation and not some soulless drivers of a plot with no point.
If I had to give the series a point rating it'd be a solid 8/10, especially for the latter half of the season.

Re: Space. The Funnest Frontier?
Given what the previous episode was I think the finale will end in a disaster dumpster fire of a thousand exploding warp cores.

Re: Space. The Funnest Frontier?
I'm honestly shocked that they see this season as favorably as they did in the video. I think the previous two seasons were so bad that anything in comparison has to be good with the nostalgia bits slammed into the story. I thought their cynic attitudes would see the last episodes so bad to condemn them as trash.
In my opinion the last few episodes weren't great, close to bad.

i think they really want that starfleet academy show to be a thing, but they also will probably hold off on axing strange new worlds until then

Re: Space. The Funnest Frontier?
this makes LD the most logical choice to can to save money
it's a cartoon and it's aimed at fans who like the tng era and remember the various weird bits of it
whereas snw is trying to be the "main" star trek to replace STD until starfleet academy is ready

Re: Space. The Funnest Frontier?
Weirdly, they're not just canning it:
According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, although the show had aired on Nickelodeon in addition to Paramount+, it will not be returning to Nickelodeon either. Those on the show will complete post-production on Season 2 and then CBS Studios will be free to shop it to other outlets.
