Re: The "Make fun of your spam messages" thread
I had some robot call me letting me know that I won a free hotel getaway so when they connected me to a live person I just kept asking for the cash equivalent until they hung up.

Re: The "Make fun of your spam messages" thread
I got a new version of the "WE LOOKED AT YOU LOOKIN' AT PORN PAY ME 1000$ IN BITCOIN" scam thingies, this time they made up a pretend "this message failed to send" thing and went "OUR PROOF THAT YOU ARE HACKED IS THAT THIS IS SENT FROM YOUR OWN EMAIL ADDRESS AAAA" and they don't even have a password, old or not.
And then at the end it's like "respond to this email if you want proof", forgetting that they supposedly sent it with my email address so it wouldn't go anywhere if the 'message sent successfully' in the first place

Re: The "Make fun of your spam messages" thread
The other day, the news was full of reports of BOMB THREATS sent to offices and universities all over the country. Terrifying!
But then I saw the e-mail they had been sent:
Looks familiar!

Re: The "Make fun of your spam messages" thread
Update: Turns out it was a couple of utterly unintelligible Amazon delivery driver calls. They didn't come to my door at my apartment, and they didn't go talk to the office staff who were literally 20 feet away, so they were calling me to get the code for the delivery room's lockbox (which I don't have).

This one was actually legit but their subject field fuckup reminded me so much of an Engrishy spam title that I had to post it here

sounds a bit confusing right? hold onto your hats though because it will become more confusing as we explain literally nothing about this 'challenge'

Re: The "Make fun of your spam messages" thread
that reminds me of this mysterious commercial i sometimes see on the TV when my father is watching shit
it's like "x% of the country is still eligible for FREE CELL PHONES! FREE PRESCRIPTIONS! did i mention FREE CELL PHONES?!" *clip of old guy saying "how do i get it"* "call NOW to find how you can get your FREE CELL PHONE!"
you're just hit with this freakish fever dream of non-sequitur marketing banter. i've never been able to find a trace of this ad online

Note to spam-callers: If you're gonna spoof a number, don't make the prefix "911".

I refuse to click their links, and sadly, I can't find their Indiegogo campaign because all the Google results are for contaminated water at Denver International Airport.

I'm getting a worrying amount of spam emails about how easy it is for me to apply for a concealed carry license online "in these troubling times."

"in a legal way"
If you know that Steve Mnuchin was Eddie Lampert's buddy at Sears, you know why you really shouldn't trust him with your bank account.

I think Gmail's spam filters broke; I'm getting a bunch of spam in my inbox. Like this one:
ho hum, typical spam scam... wait, what's that at the bottom?
