I just want the thread to know that I'm not skipping many text boxes here. Rob Thomas asked for her number, she said yes, and then immediately jumped to asking about books without actually giving her number. I can't tell if she's supposed to have ADD or if the writer can't remember what they wrote two lines prior.

There's like ten text boxes of Kimie and Rob Thomas talking about classes which is surprisingly inoffensive and actually a pretty god damn normal moment, but considering Rob Thomas never calls out the fact that Kimie didn't actually give him her number, I'm almost certain that the writer wrote this scene out of order and never noticed.

Like seriously it's "hey can I have your number" -> "yes! what classes are you taking?" -> "classes!" -> "hey can I have your number"

So Kimie kind of stands out, because there was so little creeping on her that I'm genuinely wondering if that scene was written by a different person entirely. (The answer is probably not, because it's still rife with the same grammatical errors and shitty style that plagues the rest of the script). She also has actual interests and the conversation with her was less inorganic and insane than say Izumi's. Elsa's still more likeable because I'm a biology nerd and a drunk, so I'm biased, but Kimie actually has some semblance of a personality here, which is much more than we can say for Izumi and Amaya.

I hate the protagonist more than the one-dimensional love interests imo
