There's a Willow television series on Disney+, we rolled the dice and watched the first episode and it was -- fine? It was fine! It's not bad!
Sounds like it worked out better than the novels, then.

I wonder if there's an economics term for when a task transitions from being something everyone's expected to do themselves to something there are entire businesses built around doing for you.

This year I achieved to cycle 1050km (about 650 miles).
Due to stress-eating because of my very noisy neighbours who are preventing me from having any rest or some quiet time I barely compensated my weight gain with that
Also I destroyed two pairs of jeans because of cycling. Material fatigue between the legs. The first time I noticed it too late when I was shopping. The tear went all around to my butt cheek that was barely covered by my winter jacket.

I just did the math and I've averaged 1 mile of running per day this year. Cool.
Also I can commiserate with the pants thing. I cycled for years and picked up running since covid and my thighs are so weirdly disproportionate that I feel like I can't fit into normal pants anymore or they'll just split down the middle. It really do be that way

DS9 was alright, but the prophets really dragged the plot down
this is a hill i am going to die on
DS9 would be far better of a show if the entire prophet plot was silently pushed to the side and forgotten.
S6E21 The Reckoning is the point i lost all patience with the prophet plot and S7E18 'Till Death Do Us Part is where i really started to hate it.

i know it's blasphemy to say bad things about ds9, but quite frankly ds9's religious angle was preachy and bad and took time away from the more important parts of the show
Re: The Garbage Dump: 100+ pages of well-aged compost
War of the Lions translates this line as "'tis your birth and faith that wrong you, not I" and places it in an animated cutscene where it's just him and Ovelia. Delita is apologizing as forces greater than them are at work. In light of his goals, he's almost saying that he's going to destroy these things and needs her to get there. At the end of the game, the nobility is dead or disgraced and the church was dismantled by conspiracy from within and a guy in buttpants killing its military leadership. Birth and faith wronged them, and now they are gone.
It's interesting how a simple translation difference and change of setting can turn the line from a taunt to Delita laying out his plans and motives.
