There are farms around Skyrim, like Loreius Farm.



They're there for shandification, setting, and so you can grabble some wheat for making drunkenness poisons.

The DLC Hearthfire adds the ability to plant your own shit in the buildable houses, either in outdoor gardens or by adding a greenhouse as the east wing of the house.



You can grab a few when the crop has grown and it'll refill after a few days by itself.

You can also plant juniper berries for a consistent supply of the other half of your drunkenness poison, and add bleeding crown mushrooms so that the poison also makes your victims more flammable, or purple mountain flowers so the victim is not only drunk, but has less wizard juice.

Incidentally, butter churns are functionally similar to crops.

By drunkenness I mean that wheat and juniper berries both have the lowered stamina regeneration effect, which is also the side-effect of alcoholic drinks in skrim.

I feel the need to mention that explicitly because otherwise you might think I'm joking a poison made of wheat and juniper berries has the same effect as booze.

you also need to be a pretty good alchemist to make a poison that damages stamina regeneration as much as a bottle of wine.

if you put wheat in with an actual bee and a histcarp, a type of fish, you get a potion very similar to booze.

If you put a bee and its honeycomb together, you get a potion that will simultaneously restore stamina then fuck it up.

You cannot add honey to it, as that is food, not an alchemy ingredient.

If you add the exterior shell of the hive to the bee/honeycomb combo, it'll still refill then unfill stamina, but also make the imbiber better at wearing leather.

I never joke about skrim.

IIRC, the original Kickstarter asked for something like $50k-$100k back in 2013 when they literally had no assets, only lore and concept art; they didn't get funded. The 2nd Kickstarter scaled it back to around $10k and basically looked like a worse Morrowind; still didn't get funded. Then I think they decided to go to Indiegogo where they'd get to keep any money they raised, and also scaled back further to something like $3k-$5k, which they managed to hit, and now it's in Early Access and still looks basically the same as it did in 2014 when they actually had something that you might call a "game" to show.

These are folks who (at least, when they started) want to make something on par with fucking Skyrim and it looks like something from the early 2000s after 5 years of work.
