Bruins win

:-/ That should have been a major though. Bruins got lucky on that.

And tha Avs win in OT to force a game 7. Wednesday is going to be hype.

A Bruins/Blues SCF would be my personal nightmare.

I'm hoping that they achieve peak Blues and lose game 7 at home.

I'd like a Avs/Bruins SCF.

I'm really hoping the Stars eliminate the Blues tonight.

We won our 3rd place game. We had a 2-0 lead going into the 3rd, then they tied it up on a bad rebound given up by our goalie followed by a ridiculously impressive deflection goal. We got the lead back with just over two minutes left thanks to a power play goal off a penalty where the opposing defender stuck his hand down the back of my teammate's pants and yanked him down to the ice. We iced the puck about 5 times trying to get it into their empty net, but held out for a 3-2 victory. :yay:

But then I got into the locker room and found out the Blues won in 2OT. :bluh:

If the Blues win it all then this'll officially be the weirdest postseason ever.

Somehow I feel like even entertaining the notion of the Blues with the Cup is inviting that exact disaster, though. :-I

:unenthused: Offsides call takes away a goal. Guy was at the door, stepping off the ice.

Go Sharks and Canes.

I mean, the Sharknado marketing campaign practically writes itself.

Loooooooool Sharks won on a goal scored after a blatant hand pass. But the Blues lose, so I'm okay with it! :scheming:

They can review offsides from 1 billion years before a goal, but they can't review a hand pass 2 seconds before a goal?

Screw it, I hate the blues, but I want the blues to win this. Sharks have gotten so many BS calls this post-season.

It wasn't even the best Sharks/Blues hand pass moment in history:

They really need to make a rule change so goals that came as an immediate result of a missed penalty call can be overturned.

Let's take a moment to remember the last time the Bruins were down 3 games to 2 in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals. :allears:

Had seats on the glass to game 5 of the Calder Cup finals last night. Unfortunately, the Wolves lost, but they were clearly outmatched and I got to see the Checkers win the whole thing and hoist the Cup, which was pretty cool. I saw the Wolves win it all in person back in 2002 too.

I'd say this is going to game 7 but then that would surely cause the Bruins to choke to the tune of three goals.

:wingsright: I knew Boston would win tonight. I have to work on Wednesday Night and only might be able to catch the end of the game, so of course it was going to to go Game 7.

The Bruins should have like 3 goals in the first, but Binnington is playing out of his mind.

The first period was basically that episode of the Simpsons where Homer becomes a boxer and takes punches for the entire match until his opponent gets tired and Homer pushes them over.

Going into these finals I was thinking that it's the team from the city with too many titles vs. the team that shall never win the Cup, and while I'd wanted to see the Blues stuck with their curse, the Bruins getting stymied at the very end is definitely an acceptable consolation prize. Tomorrow I should go see what the current oldest team is to never have won, now.
