Titan Quest got a new expansion, Ragnarok.
Yes, that Titan Quest, the 11 year old game. NordicGames, now THQ Nordic, made a big anniversary patch last year for its tenth, and came out with a huge expansion now.

Is it perhaps possible for you to copy that floppy?Captain Rufus wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2017 9:40 pmI buy EA games. But mine are titles for the Atari 800 computer and are on 5 1/4 inch floppy. I think I'm only missing 4-5 titles now. Sadly MULE goes for like 70 and uhh.. no.

Re: General gaming superthread
I have a Lotharek SIO2SD device that can simulate multiple floppies. But I am a man of honor and try to avoid being a dirty pirate even of 35 odd year old computer games I might own in other legit forms like the NES port.
But that also doesn't fit my collecting goals. I want ALL the EA Atari 8 bit games.
See I collect other companies' entire game output like when I got these 3 Imagic games increasing my already large collection of that company. Others like EA I am only aiming for certain platforms like the Atari 800 and maaaybe the non sports Genesis games they did.
The games above were not why I went to a retro store but I wasn't paying 100 bucks for a boxed Vic 20 computer given how most of what I want to play on it are fan projects and require a RAM cart and those carts are like 60-100 for the good modern ones with like every released game cartridge for the system. And I'd still need a sd card floppy drive for it. Yeah no.
But 3 Imagic games boxed is especially being ones that really fill in titles I'm missing for my Intellivision. So now I need like a couple more Imagic games, one of the DnD titles, He Man, and an Intellivoice module and those titles and my Inty collection is pretty well set.

Hmm... I haven't done a photo update of my Intellivision in years. Might be a good time either today or next weekend after the capitalism hell time...

A big Splatoon update is coming in two parts this month and next, bringing new hairdos, new and classic maps and weapons, and a new ranked mode. Ever wanted to cover a grocery store in ink while everyone else is just trying to get their shopping done?

Nominations for the Steam Awards are now. I'm having a really hard time finding even one game that fits into most of the categories this year.

Yes, I know it's not on Steam, but they should make an exception this time.

Been playing Europa Universalis, because my buddy wants to use my save game to convert to Victoria so he can play in wacky alt history land.
I’ve been regaling him with little write ups on the life of each tsar (I’m playing as Russia) and what they did. It’s time consuming but pretty fulfilling.

Re: General gaming superthread
My buddy may not necessarily play Russia. He’s going to look at the state of the world in 1821 and pick someone who looks interesting to him.
Maybe India, which unified itself without any European interference and is a great power. Maybe one of the warlords still trying to reunify China. Maybe one of the newly independent Spanish colonies, Mexico, Brazil, or Los Estados Unidos. Or maybe Persiya, the Russian Orthodox puppet state I turned Persia into. (I’m trying to keep the map interesting.)
After he finishes Vicky, we may covert that savegame to Hearts of Iron, and then we’ll both try and see if we can figure out how to play.

Wow, Yooka-Laylee is finally coming to Switch on December 14th. It might contain all the fixes they made since launch, but it sounds like the only console specific things they added were single JoyCon support for the bad multiplayer games, and a custom achievement system (which isn't so much a new thing as it is replicating functionality present at a system level in the other versions). It really, really needed to come out before Odyssey, particularly with Odyssey embracing things that Y-L rejected like the map.

Re: General gaming superthread
Berseria still owns. I actually like all the characters so far, and the setting is legit interesting. In really looking forward to seeing what Atrorius' motives for all this are. Because, like, straight up, guy singlehandedly saved the world.
But the demons also appear to be sentient and have personalities, so, uh oh? Why do they keep attacking villages instead of, you know, not doing that like normal people? The Abbey are dicks, no question, but the demons are all legit monsters who keep killing and eating people, are they all choosing to be evil, it is something now sinister happening here?
Any case, I totally don't wanna smooch the lizard man demons.

Not surprised. Their copy of Knights of the Old Republic had the famous fan-patch that restored its missing levels too.
Although, come to think of it, Steam's might have as well?

Okay, who's up for some alt-history?
Here's the state of the world on May 3, 1827. (EU4 formally ends in 1821, but I stayed on till the last wave of European wars ended.)
I played as Russia, though as usual I'm not interested in world domination, just in doing reasonably well and making an interesting map. In this I think I succeeded pretty well! And overall, I think my Russia ended up a little stronger than in real history.
In light blue you can see my alt-Persia, the Russian client state of Persiya. Tsar Michael the Great conquered the region from the various empires that owned it, and remade it into an Orthodox kingdom subject to Russia. They've proven a hardy block against the Ottomans in the west and the Vijayanagar Republic to the east.
Yeah, Australia is Spanish.

Second Silent Assassin in a row. These early missions definitely weren't designed to be as tricky as the later ones, although apparently the mechanics have also changed in our favor.

Re: General gaming superthread
Game Awards 2017 happened. while corporate shilling was at an all-time high,so was the amount of actually good games in the lineup, and the number of pretty interesting announcements and shit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWFgvbf_Zu8
From Software teases a new project, but it's not entirely clear on what it is. reminds me of Bloodborne though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceJcHUoO734
A new game by the Firewatch devs. I'm down with what appears to be a sort of archaeology themed game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyBFAX4SDEc
The second Zelda DLC, The Champions' Ballad, is out NOW.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1sdAmSq4vs
Soul Calibur 6 is happening next year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti-i40Ez6KY
Bayonetta 3 is happening as a Switch exclusive!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SxJGDofOfo
Bayo 1 and 2 are getting ported to the Switch
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zqjNkdXT94
Witchfire, a new game by the developers of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter but also Painkiller and Bulletstorm
And a new Death Stranding trailer! This one kinda stole the show thanks to....everything. It's weird as shit. No gameplay yet still. My guess is that we won't see gameplay until at least E3 2018.
there's some others but I kinda forgot them atm

Re: General gaming superthread
Splatoon 2's zeroth Splatfest was held in a demo that was available just before the game launched back in July. I doubt Nintendo will run a demo weekend that's also another Splatfest, considering that Splatfests come with the additional baggage of picking a side and fighting for that side's glory, vs. just inking turf.
Nintendo did run a second demo weekend after the first game had been out for a few months. Maybe they'll do one after Christmas, once a bunch of kids have gotten brand-new Switches and are ready to get hooked.
